Peter Khoo, the Internet Recruiting Strategist for Ernst & Young's America's Practice, will be speaking to the New York Net Nights group this coming Tuesday, November 18th at Coudert Brothers (in the Grace Building on 42nd just off Sixth Avenue).

Topics will include:

*How the Internet has changed recruiting (pluses and minuses)

*How efficient (and non-efficient) employers are using the Internet today

*Fashioning "Internet-friendly" and effective resumes

*Finding the right job sites or services for you

*Etiquette on following up an Internet application

Peter is part of E&Y's national human resources team, and is, like all intelligent life (oof!), based in NYC. But don't hold that against him -- he seems to actually be the guy who can speak about these topics and explain where exactly they keep all those resumes we keep sending to big employers that encourage Internet job applications.

Our turnout last night reflected, frankly, jitters regarding the recovery. But with the new GDP and jobs numbers out in the last week, we are expecting renewed enthusiasm, fresh comedy moments from Glorious Leader, soft drinks and very possibly a hard option (off site) as well -- for bonding does occur; I have seen it myself, though at a certain point it is more than a sensitive sort such as myself can take and I must turn away. But I digress.

Welcome!
